Canards West at Columbia 2010
Some details that I have learnt from previous Flyins
Although there are adequate
facilities within a 1 mile radius of the airport if you want to go into the local
town of Sonora you will need transport.
Sonora has 4 or 5 motels within the town
and several good restaurants, it's about 5 miles to the town.
The cost of $25
for the meal covers all the expenses for the Flyin, these include clubhouse rental
from the County, name tags, dinner tickets, cutlery, plates, drinking cups and all
the extras required to run an event. You do need to pay a camping fee and an overnight
parking fee, you will receive details at registration.
You may park your aircraft
alongside the grass runway although the taxiway is rough with boulders. If you park
on the taxiway it is a short walk to the campground.
Can you identify the
canard?
